Halo Reach Weapons
By now, you've all played a lot of Halo Reach, and probably used all of the
Halo Reach
Weapons. But that's not going to stop us from listing them all out for you so you have something to refer to. So after the break we've got a list of all the Halo Reach weapons, how they work, and some other little tips that you may not have known about them (for instance, did you know that keeping your reticle on the target with the needler even after you've fired helps your bullets home better?). This is stuff you'll need to know if you're going to make it all the way through all of the Halo Reach ranks.
I've also ranked them in order of how effective I think all of them are (I left the campaign/firefight only weapons at the bottom). Check it out after the break and tell me how you agree or disagree with my rankings of the Halo Reach weapons.
Halo Reach Rocket Launcher | ||

Halo Reach Energy Sword | ||

The sword continues its reign of dominance in Halo Reach. The one change is that now it can be parried by a melee'ing foe, though it still leaves you at an advantage after the parry as your opponent is stunned as long as you are. | Damage: Insta-kill Range: Short |
Halo Reach Shotgun | ||

Halo Reach Plasma Launcher | ||

The plasma launcher has been toned down a bit since the beta, mainly in its homing ability, however it is still a very strong weapon. You can think of it as the Covenant's equivalent to the grenade launcher, only much better. | Homing: Moderate Damage: High |
Halo Reach Focus Rifle | ||

The Focus Rifle will remind people of the Sentinel Beam, but rest assured this time around it is a power weapon, at least against Spartans. It will take down Spartans fast and the animation of getting hit by it blocks your view and makes it difficult to shoot back. Halo Reach Needler | ||

The Needler has been beefed up considerably this year. In a heads up mid-range battle with the DMR or Needle Rifle it will win unless your opponent lands all of their shots and a headshot. One thing many people don't realize is that keeping the reticle on your target after firing causes the needles to track better, making it very deadly. | Zoom: No Homing: Yes |
Halo Reach Gravity Hammer | ||

The Gravity Hammer seems to be the same as ever. Still overpowered up close by the Sword or shotgun due to its horrible range, but a good close range weapon when those aren't an option. | Damage: High Range: Tiny |
Halo Reach Turret | ||

Bungie has actually sprinkled turrets around a few of the multiplayer maps in Halo Reach, and they're suprisingly under used, but actually very strong. | |
Halo Reach Needle Rifle | ||

The Needle Rifle is the Covenant version of the DMR, and a replacement for the Carbine Rifle. It does less damage than the DMR, but fires faster and has a slightly smaller bloom. I personally prefer it to the DMR. | Zoom: Yes Bloom: Moderate |
Halo Reach DMR | ||

The DMR is the replacement for the Battle Rifle. It replaces the BRs 3-shot burst with a single shot, but it does high damage (instant kill on headshot with no shields) and has very high accuracy. | Zoom: Yes Bloom: Moderate |
Halo Reach Spartan Laser | ||

Halo Reach Assault Rifle | ||

Halo Reach Grenade Launcher | ||

The Halo Reach grenade launcher functions like none in any other game. Hold the button down when you fire, and the grenade will explode when you release. The splash damage is weak though, much less than an actual grenade, and you often need a direct hit to kill someone. | Splash Damange: Weak |
Halo Reach Plasma Repeater | ||

The plasma repeater fires is a sort of plasma machine gun, which is very effective against shields but weak against unshielded foes. This makes it decent against Spartans, but very weak against elites. | Shield Damage: High Body Damage: Low |
Halo Reach Energy Pistol | ||

The plasma pistol is the same as ever before, still the first half of the noob combo. Now, however, it does a little bit more damage to the body to the point where you may be able to get away with not even switching weapons after your charge shot. | Homing: Moderate |
Halo Reach Concussion Rifle | ||

The concussion rifle is similar to the Brute Shot in Halo 3, but is meant more as a support weapon this time around. The knock the target back and the gun also does splash damage and will flip warthogs. It is great if you're trying to get assists. | Damage: Low Concussion: High |

The top 5 weapons are
1.rocket launcher
the rocket laucher is a intenst weapon that scopes and a big bullet but it only has 2 bullets
2.orbital strike
this looks small but magor butig metros come down from the sky over 50 feet but like the rocket launch it only has 2 bullets
3.energy sword
the energy sword has instend kill has 100 bullets but you need to be near the enamies
4.foucs rifle
the foucs rifle is i laser the never stops but it has 100 or 98 bullets and its like trhe turrnet
5.plasma launcher and gravity hammer
the plasma laucher is a sticky bomb launcher but you need to load it 1 to 5 sticky bombs it explodes BOOM it kills the person imeaditly just like a energy sword but better and the gravity hammer is like a future chain saw but it does not kill the enamie fast probaly 2 hits and its kinda rare to find in machtmaking or campin
