In Halo Combat Evolved there are no brutes, and according to the story, Humans didn't make contact with Brutes until the pre-Halo 2 era. The first sighting of a Hammer was in Halo 2 and it was only used by Tartarus. In Halo 3, hammers were way overused. So my question is : Why are there Hammers in Halo Reach??

Halo reach is the time period before Halo CE, so this really makes no sense to me.

Good point. I agree. Get rid of the Hammer lol. I hate that thing anyway. I think, however, that multiplayer is not really meant to relate directly to the story in any way... =/ It'll probably piss off too many people if it weren't in there somewhere.

This is a good point that I've realized as well, but I love the hammer too much to ever advocate its removal.
